Join the Team

There are many opportunities to get involved and take your place as part of the Options Lennoxville team. We believe there's a place for everyone in our ministry to serve; no matter where you are at in your faith journey or biases on unplanned pregnancy. We can work together to find your place, according to your strengths and interests, on our team.

Options Lennoxville is a Christian organization committed to providing compassionate, holistic support to individuals and families facing pregnancy-related challenges. As part of our volunteer onboarding process, all volunteers will receive and review our core statements of faith and principles. We take time to share who we are, what we do, and why we do it, so that every volunteer understands the heart behind our work.

Because we strive to provide holistic support, direct client care may include emotional, practical, and spiritual support when requested by clients. Volunteers serving in direct client care roles are required to align with our statements of faith and principles. However, not all volunteer roles require personal agreement with every aspect of our core principles—volunteers are expected to respect and support the values that guide our organization.

We are looking for committed volunteers who can consistently serve our community and fulfill the responsibilities of their role. As part of our commitment to safeguarding those we serve, all applicants go through a screening process to ensure they are a good fit for our organization and suitable to work with individuals who may be experiencing vulnerable circumstances.

Options Lennoxville is not a political organization. Volunteers representing our organization are asked to refrain from political or legal activism while acting in that capacity. We exist to expand support services so that individuals facing pregnancy-related challenges do not feel alone or feel that they have limited choices due to a lack of support.

We appreciate your interest in joining our team. Please note that not all applicants may be accepted or placed in the role for which they apply.

Screening includes:

  • Application

  • Initial interview (which may occur before the application)

  • Reference check

  • Detailed interview

  • Police records checks, including Name-Based Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Verification

Building a Community of Support

We are building a community of support where no one has to walk through pregnancy-related challenges alone. Check out Arina’s perspective on volunteering at Options Lennoxville and read about how our recent Open House brought our community together.

Client Care Training

The client care training includes a learning at your own pace portion (about 21h) as well as weekly 2-hour facilitation meetings to discuss what you are learning and ask questions. Exact times will be determined based on participants availabilities.

All volunteers who have contact with our clients are required to complete our Client Care Training.

Please note that not every applicant who completes the volunteer training will be accepted to volunteer in client care, but we do strive to find an area where everyone can serve.
